Bank Merchant Andy Dufresne is convicted of the murder of his wife and her lover, and sentenced to life imprisonment at Shawshank prison. I expected The Shawshank Redemption to obviously exceed to some level of greatness as it's the highest rated movie of all time. The movie had me and i believe most people hooked from the beginning as it starts with a cliffhanger and a very stressed and confused man drunk in his car. The movie really shows the audience how police brutality and prisons were in the 40's, and how they used to treat people. I wish i could say something bad about the movie as i feel every movie or show you watch should have at least one thing to point on, but i feel the director of The Shawshank Redemption (Frank Darabont) added everything that the film needed and for most people who have watched the movie succeeded expectations. If you are thinking about watching this movie I would 100% recommend as it's a movie i feel everyone should see at least once in their life.
